Great Pub Sunday lunches
We have spent many an hour on a Sunday trawling around great pubs, restaurants and cafes just to find the best Sunday lunch for you. The task was a long and thankless one, but it did mean we sampled many a great Sunday lunch and had many a long Sunday afternoon in the pub.
Here are a few of our suggestions for Great Sunday lunches if you are out and about or simply don’t fancy all that cooking. Sunday lunch somehow tastes much better if you can enjoy it with a beer. Especially if don’t need to do any cooking or washing up.
The Watermans Arms
The Watermans is a lovely pub by the river Thames in oxford. The food is great all week, but it is especially worth popping in for their great Sunday Lunch. The roast potatoes are nothing short of perfect.
The Fishes
The Fishes do a lovely Sunday lunch. It fancies itself as a little upmarket and so the prices unfortunately match. The beef is of a superior quality to the usual pub Sunday lunch so perhaps you’d consider this a good place to head for.
If you have any recommendations let us know, we’d love to try your favourite great Sunday lunch.
The Builders Arms
A Kensington pub with great respect for fine wine, food and traditional bitters. Not beholden to the power of the breweries, this pub only offers the best (if somewhat obscure) bitters which are very refreshing with accompanied by any of their traditional English meals.
Cahoots
A favoured watering hole by those who work by the Kings Road in Chelsea. It has long been rumoured that celebrities frequent but this appears to be an exaggeration...
